Líder histórico de la teología de la liberación en El Salvador
Estudió Filosofía y Teología en el Seminario Católico “San José de la Montaña” en San Salvador. Trabajó para formar Comunidades Eclesiales de Base Salvadoreñas (CEB) junto a Monseñor Oscar A Romero. Desde 1981, ha brindado atención pastoral a la gente de Morazán, y actualmente acompaña a la CEB de la Comunidad Segundo Montes mientras se desempeña como promotor educativo del campus satélite de Morazán de la Universidad Nacional.

Karen Ramírez
Química farmacéutica, bióloga y luchadora social con mas de 20 años en calidad de agua y salud comunitaria desde las determinantes sociales. Inició voluntariado con PROVIDA en 1998 durante la emergencia del Huracán Mitch para verificar la calidad del agua en el Bajo Lempa. Actualmente se desempeña como gerente del programa de Desarrollo Territorial de Asociación de Ayuda Humanitaria PRO VIDA.

He studied Philosophy and Theology at the Catholic Seminary “San José de la Montaña” in San Salvador. He worked to form Salvadoran Ecclesial Base Communities (CEB) alongside with Monsignor Oscar A Romero. Since 1981, he has provided pastoral care to the people of Morazán, and currently accompanies the CEB of Community Segundo Montes while laboring as the Educational Promoter for the National University’s satellite campus in Morazán.

Karen Ramirez
Pharmaceutical chemist, biologist and social activist with more than 20 years in water quality and community health from social determinants. She began volunteering with the Humanitarian Association PRO VIDA in 1998 during the Hurricane Mitch emergency to verify water quality in Bajo Lempa. She currently works as PRO VIDA’s manager of the Territorial Development program.

    Last week I registered, but had forgotten about a UU board meeting happening at the same time. Tonight I have another UU meeting starting at 6. I don’t think it will be over by 7. Should I register even if I come on late?
